Snowy Branches in Sunlight #1

I had some rare photos of my garden from a couple years ago when we had snow and sunshine in the Seattle area. I've zoomed in and painted just tiny sections of the branches. It proved to be quite a challenge to keep the color simple and the shapes looking crunchy enough to be snow rather than soft-edged spring blossoms. I love the cheerful contrast of the blue and white.

This painting is on display and available for purchase at Matthew Robert Salon in Edmonds, Washington. More than 30 of my original watercolors are currently at the salon. Paintings can be viewed during Matthew Robert Salon's business hours. Inquire at (425) 778-8188.
